I seem to remember having seem something about Google's possible OS
candidate on one of the tech blogs (engadget/gozmodo)   From what I remember
it seemed like something geared to a thin client-ish interface to their
apps, and boasting very quick time-to-desktop type stuff.  So maybe not a
general purpose OS but
