I used to have a 700Mhz iBook - PowerPC G3 is something I never want to 
touch again :P  You should definitely be able to get rid of it on eBay, 
and you'll find plenty of decent used laptops on eBay for under $400.  
Gateway, IBM, Compaq and Dell are the first that pop into mind when I 
think of cheap used laptops.
