Since he has the Cisco Phones, he should use them to get started.  A much
better phone is the Snom 320/360.  I have not tried the 370 yet.  Check them
out at http://snom.com

A better suggestion would be to skip out on the Cisco phones altogether
and use something that *doesn't suck*... like Polycom.
