[olug] Selling PC's with Linux on them

I've got a friend who has a fair number of systems... and he sells them on
eBay, to family, friends, etc.

Anyway, he's wanting to install linux on these systems rather than
Windows2000/98/XP etc.

In particular, he's interested in Ubuntu.

I can't recall any limitations on reselling a linux distro with hardware,
but IANAL.

What limitations / rules are there on selling a system with linux installed
on it (and distro cd supplied) ?
