I got my HP LJ4000 because a client didn't want to pay to have it maintained again by their usual company.  They were going to throw it out, so I took it home and dusted off the sensors.  10,000 pages since and it works like a charm!

Agreed - some Googling will bring you to a self help printer repair site
that will talk you through how to diag & repair your laserjet.


If all else fails, nebraska business machines (IIRC) near 84th & L was
able to help me a while back.
