[olug] Slightly OT: COX digital channel numbers (mythTV users?)

No I'm not using a tuner card, its a Sony HDTV (which I happen to know 
runs linux).  The TV does have an autoprogram function, but its pretty 
much worthless.  It tells me its found 50 digital channels, but when I 
use the up/down channel buttons it still steps through every single 
digital channel (thousands I would guess) whether there is a signal 
there or not.  And I have to wait 5 seconds while it says 'Now Tuning" 
to find out if a channel will appear or if it will say No Signal.   I 
was hoping someone had setup a MythTV HD box and had already gone though 
this and found the actual channel numbers.

My ultimate goal is to sell this TV (anyone?) and get one with a PC 
input.  Then setup a MythTV box and install a HD tuner card in it.

Yes I will probably send an email to COX, but I doubt they'll have a 
clue what I'm talking about...

 From what I gathered from the website, you should be able to receive 
the non-premium HD channels without a cablebox, which means they are 
probably unencrypted.  In fact someday it will probably be law that they 
are in the clear, if it isn't already.  I know they are prohibited from 
requiring you to use a cablebox to access the basic stuff.
