[OLUG] Linux install on a Toshiba Tecra 500CDT

Can you boot ANY OS from the CD drive??  Knoppix is the first that comes
to mind.  Depending on the age of that model, you may have to create
boot floppies to be able to install from the CD.

Did you ever get Linux installed on your Tecra 500CDT? If so, maybe you

can guide me through some sticky points I am having with mine. I am 
trying to install Ubuntu Linux.  I can not get the computer to boot
from 
the CD-ROM so that I can use the installer on the CD. If this is a poor

strategy for completing this project please let me know.
