I use godaddy.com hosting (nothing against Jay) and I pay $37+/year for
hosting and it is on Linux w/PHP. 8)

Well, got my internet access up the other day, started
my server, and no luck; I can't get into the http
server on any port, and even ssh is blocked.
Is there an easy, and free, way around this, or am I
just SOL?
If I'm SOL, anyone have server space I can use for my
personal site? I like to have my server on a Linux
system, being the control freak I am. It's only used
for personal stuff, like pictures of my family...
I've seen the "free web space" offers and, well, I'm a
control freak; I want access 24/7, only http/ssh
access, and no pop-up ads or banners as a "necessity".
