[olug] Printing problems under Suse

When I had Linux installed at the July 2004
Installfest the HP842C printer didn't work. I didn't
bring the printer to the Installfest, but added it
when I got home.

When I screwed up enough other stuff and re-installed
SUSE 9.1 (with printer attached) it automatically
found the printer. Both times I was able to use the
TEST function under YAST.
YAST >> Hardware >> Printers >> Configure >> Test
Printer

BUT that's all I could get it to do until the
re-install. The re-install created duplicates of
several folder which had to be deleted manually.

I'm hopeful that this might be helpful.
