[olug] vsftpd anonymous home is not /var/ftp?

 I'm running SuSe 9.2, I need to allow anonymous ftp on a purely private 
machine, and I've added the vsftpd package via yast. There isn't 
anything in /etc/vsftpd.conf that says where it might look for 
anonymous' home directory, the stuff I've googled says it'll use 
/var/ftp, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've got the most open 
permissions imaginable and that obviously isn't the problem.

 Can anyone shed any light on this?
