[olug] Newby Needs help

Having only the list archive to guide me at this point, it appears as though I have let the words cloud the meaning. I've got more to learn than just the OS.

And...since I'm already wearing egg, where's lunch?

I have been quiet on the subject but here is my nickel on it:
1. Jay does good work and takes good care of his customers. I am one of them.
2. The message in question DID read to me to be in fun. I have not seen messages on this list posted in a mean fashion in a very long time, so please make sure to read these messages from this list with a good nature. We are all here to help each other and I know how frustrated Linux/config/problems can make us but be good natured when reading the messages. If you think a rude reply is in order, try emailing the member directly to work it out vs in the list. Just my idea, the great poo-bah of the list may tell me to get sit on a chicken egg and think about it more until it hatches. 8)
3. Jay took a hit when he joined the list and had started his business. He did what ANY new business owner would do...get the word out that he IS in business and would appreciate the chance to show how good a job he does. I don't have a store front but I understand the risk you take to open a business. Jay did what he was asked and has not personally plugged his business even though I am sure he has many times seen a good spot too. He respected the list's wishes and I appreciate that as so should the others here.

You can take this for what it is worth. I will stop ranting now...
(/soapbox, again)

As for lunch, LET'S GO! Where are we doing it this month??
