[olug] MSFT vs EU - MSFT loses by 611,000,000

I am all about sticking it to MSFT.  I am also all
about justice, due process, and fairness in the legal
system.  

Although this may be a small and short-lived victory
against the Waffen-MS Vermacht, it smacks of
conspiricy.  My fear is this "punishment" of a US
corporation is the tip of the iceberg for the EU, and
they won't stop with MSFT.  If they can put a dent in
the armor of MSFT, they can topple smaller US
companies.

This may also just be distraction to tweak their
hideous software patent laws.  As Machiavelli wrote to
his prince "It is better to maintain smaller local
conflicts that to have all-out war" (or something like
that).

Be on watch, evil plans always start with something
reasonable.
