[olug] Can't boot to 2.6 Kernel

It looks like the version of mkinitrd needs to specify the
module dir instead of just the kernel version

your modules are located under /lib/modules/KERNEL_VERSION

so you could try

mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd.2.6.3.gz /lib/modules/2.6.3
