That's the only drive I have that will take a cd...........its a  dvd+rw
ls -l /dev/cdrom says the same thing...lr-xr-xr-x    1 mesc     root 
        13 Jan 30 15:11 /dev/cdrom -> cdroms/cdrom0....I can't change 
that also.
