[olug] Error playing shorten (.shn) for XMMS

Anyone having any problems playing shorten (.shn)
files with XMMS 1.2.8? 

For those of you who don't know,

I've downloaded the correct plugin, installed from
source, and can view the files from XMMS, but cannot
play them. 

Under options, there isn't anything saying to
configure a shorten plugin.
