Discussion has died down on this, and it seems that there is sufficient
interest to have a Linux Lunch. Thanks for all the suggestions. In the
interest of getting it done, I'll grab the bull by the horns and
nominate myself the vote-meister. (Hopefully no objections.)

We haven't talked about time yet. Since we have meetings on the first
Tuesday, how about 11:30 on the third Friday (Jan 16) for lunch? Can I
just declare that by fiat, in the interest of actually getting around to
having a lunch?

Now I propose we proceed with actual voting. I think a preferential
ballot, Condorcet-style, would be best. Since I was hoping for (at
least) two lunch locations, given Omaha's size, I've divided the
locations roughly at I-680 for those west and east. I suggest these be
on different ballots, so that the top two locations don't end up being
right by each other just because that's where most of us happen to be.
Do we need another location for downtown, maybe inside I-480? Or maybe
there are enough people south of I-80 by Bellevue and Offutt to have one
there?

Here's the list of nominations as of Monday night. I don't know most of
these places, so I'm trusting they all have good variety on the menus.
If I've screwed any up, forgotten any, or if there are any more
suggestions for place/number of locations, let me know, and I'll post
the final ballots sometime Tuesday night for voting. Thurday night I'll
tally whatever's come in by then. By Friday morning we'll know where
we're going for lunch. Sound good?

WEST of 680
Oak View Mall food court (144 & Center)
Clancey's Pub (114 & Dodge)
Taste of Thailand (156 & Center)
Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant (121 & Center)

EAST of 680
Sizzler (55 & L)
Thai Kitchen (24th)
Bangkok Cafe (Farnam downtown)
Lo Sole Mio (38 & Center)
Westroads Mall food court (100 & Dodge)
Asian buffet place by the Funny Bone (???)
Clancey's Pub (72 & Pacific)
Grisanti's (???)
Indian Oven (downtown)
McKenna's (74 & Pacific)

(Don't vote yet! These are just preliminary for your review!)

Thanks everybody! I'm looking forward to it.

Tim
