*Intimate hands on experience as a System Administrator.
* Management of Sun Solaris and Linux servers.
* Strong Linux skills a plus.
* Perl, bash, sendmail, apache, nfs, smb, dns, squid, cvs, experience.
* Linux mailserver experience a plus.
* Provide security analysis and implementation.
* Configure and install new machines - Advanced Linux/Unix
administration-shell scripting, performance tuning, and support.
*A demonstratable ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve system
problems is required. 
* Thorough understanding of performance tuning, capacity planning,
disaster recovery,storage management, software installation and
maintenance.
* Working knowledge of shell scripting languages- csh, bourne, ksh, and
perl.
* Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, Apache, Disksuite and
SANS.
* Support and configuration with the Veritas family of products is a
plus.
* Works independently within the system administration guidelines
