Stop and think about these questions.

What version of SuSE? 

What type of computer?  What type of BIOS?  Won't let
you change bootup between CDROM, floppy, HD?  

Some of the newer versions of Linux (RH, Mandrake,
SuSE), you should be able to place the cdrom in the
machine and the contents are displayed.  

Are you installing SuSE on its own HD or creating a
dual boot machine?  You mention 'D', so SuSE will have
its own HD?  

You have internet connection?  Google is incredible
when it comes to troublshooting.
