Sorry it took so long to respond to your responses.  I've been 
a bit swamped by non-computer matters.

Unfortunately it's not very helpful.....

This is a simple hack widget written by John L. Cwikla <cwikla at wolfram.com>
to provide 3D labels for Motif Label and LabelGadget widgets while they are
insensitive rather than the default "50_foreground" stippled label.

If the depth is <= 4 it will just use the regular stuff since it
won't look right.

See the COPYRIGHT file for information about this widget.

I've tried running imake in the labelh_d subdirectory, but the compiler 
complains about a missing Imake.tmpl file.  Google came up empty
on this one.  Anybody else have an idea?
