[olug] Vendor support

After some recent trials and tribulations with Dell we're considering
another vendor for our computer hardware.  Our combined experience with
Compaq have not been exactly rosey so that eliminates the HP/Compaq mutant.
Anyone have experience with both IBM and Dell that could compare their
support experiences?  Anyone have any suggestions on a vendor?  Major
suppliers only, please.
