Well, now that you mention it, I'm not sure. This is the first time I've 
ever dealt with troubleshooting a laptop. I know when I plug it in some 
lights come on on the case, but there's nothing on screen. There's a fan 
I can see on the bottom and it doesn't spin when powered on. I guess I 
was just assuming it was a "power supply" fan.

I'll try that. Maybe it's a motherboard issue?
