A resounding yes.  It boots fine on the latest and greatest P4s I have 
access to.

Support for SATA or the ethernet frequently found integrated into 
motherboards are a whole other question, though ;)  For SATA you'll have 
the best luck delving into the world of 2.6, and for the ethernet driver 
issue your best bet would be to update to 2.4.23 (which you should do 
anyway).
