I actually recommend the boot cds these days that way you have full support
for all network cards and it is faster and more reliable...also available
from debian's website...

You need to make debian boot floppies.  Then during the install process, it 
lets you choose whether you want to do a CD install or a Net install.  I 
recomend the net install.  I believe the boot floppies are availiable online

at debians website.
