Try this eBay search...  the 68/80 pin adapters go for $10 to $20 bucks.

As mentioned by others, the adapter will let you specify the scsi id with jumpers.

Also, check out seagate warranty service, you may be covered, though murphy's law works
against such wishful thinking.
