Is the linux box authorized to join the NT domain???

(password server) I think should be set to the NT-Server-Name of your PDC if
your using security = domain.

Subject: [olug] Samba on an NT Domain

Anyone know how to get a Linux box up and running under an NT PDC Domain?
I've set the /etc/samba/smb.conf file to read:

encrypt passwords = yes
security = domain
workgroup = DOMAIN_NAME
password server = *

I've run the command:

# smbpasswd -r DOMAIN_PDC -j DOMAIN_NAME

I get the error:

cli_net_req_chal: Error NT_STATUS_INVALID_COMPUTER_NAME
cli_nt_setup_creds: request challenge failed
modify_trust_password: unable to setup the PDC credentials to DOMAIN_PDC.
Error was NT_STATUS_INVALID_COMPUTER_NAME.
2002/07/26 12:00:00 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change
password for domain DOMAIN_NAME.
Unable to join domain DOMAIN_NAME.

The hostname of the Linux box (as displayed by the command 'hostname') was
added to the PDC prior to running this command.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
