Ok, I have decided to take this thread, as it seems to be an often asked
question, and turn it into a FAQ on the website...


Sooo.....
    Please keep this in mind when you reply to this thread.... e.g.  your
thoughts/ ideas on either the dist you use, or the ones you dont use, and
explanations why. please keep it technical!
