I've heard that CX#'s will be a thing of the past. I think they're
switching to obtaining dhcp stuff via mac addresses on any interface plugged
into the modem (be it a nic, or a cable/dsl router...etc...)

>pop.central.cox.net

correct for the central states. Other ones include, you guessed it,
"pop.east.cox.net" and "pop.west.cox.net"...

>ns.central.cox.net
>ns1.central.cox.net
>ns.cox.net
Does anyone else see the irony of giving a name to a nameserver?

>Has anyone succesfully transitioned over to DHCP?
I think lots of people have successfully been using dhcp on tons of
different OS's here in omaha for years.

>What are the Gateway and DNS servers in your DHCP settings?
You should get all this junk dhcp anyway....right?

This is all stuff I've heard unnoficially, tho, so don't take my word for
it.
