[olug] Samba 2.2 & NT 4 Domains

I've gotten it working just fine and dandy. Pretty slick, especially
the PAM & NSS modules :) But I have some questions:

1) For non-Samba logins (ie telnet) each user needs to log in as
DOMAIN+username (I have "winbind separator = +" in smb.conf), rather
than just username. Is there a way to tell the winbind stuff to
"assume" that the NT4 domain DOMAIN will always be used?

2) Have the PAM & NSS modules been tested on operating systems other
than Linux? I'm having a bit of trouble getting a SS10 running Solaris
8 & Samba 2.2.3a to work correctly...
