[olug] Gentoo install /wo bootable CD?

Haven't tried this, but you could use Tom's Boot Floppy, and then chroot to the
CD.  Look here:

Also, Gentoo 1.4rc1 ISO is out -- the networking has better auto-detection in
that, plus gcc 3.2 support.  I'd go that route instead.
