[olug] Groupware suggestions - Long

I use my shared info through exchange and active directory, although I'm on
a linux box(I have my own info).  I connect through VMWare workstation.  If
you have any questions feel free to ask me, I'm pretty good at the M$

    Most is created through outlook and active directory.  The index is
shared through Outlook, as stated before 'Corporate' settings.  One simple
way to do it is:
Open Active directory Users and Computers>Users and get the propertysheets
for each user(double-click their name).  There should be a tab for email and
such.  Just fill in the information.  I'm still in the process of setting up
exchange here, so I can't give you specifics on it now.

    Next, setting up outlook.  This should be simple enough.  Just connect
it to the exchange server(and rectify the server name and user name).  If
you have office sucessfully installed it should just connect.  There are a
few minor details(personal folders - I hate users email on my server),
shared folders, and newsgroups.

    That's the brunt of it.  I hope it gives you enough direction to scrape
by.
