Ok, i apologize because this isn't specifically a
Linux question, but it has me stumped, and I can't
find a decent answer anywhere.

I have a Windoze 98 box that scandisk tells me C: is
reporting it's free space incorrectly, if I tell
scandisk to fix it, and then run the machine
overnight, the problem returns.

Is this a hardware issue or is it a Windows issue??
and would running fsck on the drive give me any
better results?

I am guessing that it is a Windows issue, due somehow
to the way that it uses swap space. If that is the
case I would assume that UN*Xes do not run into the
same issues because they run a seperate swap
partition.

Can someone tell me if I'm on the right track here,
thanks
Colin
