I just built a system, so this is especially familiar for me. :-)

The best prices I found was Mwave.com. For an extra $9 they'll put the
mobo, chip, and memory together and test it for you. Nine dollars well
spent IMO.

For a 1.4 GHz Athlon on an FIC AZ11EA mobo (the model I have), and 128 Mb
of RAM plus testing will only run you 232.50 from Mwave. Add RAM in 128 Mb
increments for 14.50 per stick.

I have to say my build of that computer was easily the most trouble-free
I've ever done in 10+ years of building computers.

Good luck!

Bill

I'm going to attempt to build my first computer from scratch.I've
narrowed my motherboard down to 3 listed on D.I.T's
website,http://www.ditcorp.com/NEWsite/PRODUCTS/MOTHERBOARDbundles/mainboardbundles.asp,they

also include a processor.#1 is Asus A7V133 motherboard with a Athlon
1330 Mhz processor for $259.#2 is a BioStar M7VIB DDR MB with a Athlon
1400 Mhz processor for $239 and #3 is a MSI 850 Pro2LE Skt 423 MB with
a Pentium 4 1500Mhz processor,upgradable to a 1800 Mhz processor for
$279.I'm not up on what's a good motherboard to use although I have
heard of Asus.Would anyone care to reply with there opinons on any or
all of these?I'd also appreciate any input on processor choice.I like
the Pentiums listed speed but I realize there's more to a processor than
just the speed it's rated at :)

               Thanks,Gary Martin
