[olug] Konqueror Web Browser?

glad you asked. I love konqueror. It is part of kde since 2.0. It can use netscape 4.0 plugins and even looks in expected netscape locations for plugins so no need to reinstall. It is like explorer in that it is also a directory browsing tool. sometimes pages don't render correctly but as of 2.1 that was greatly minimized. Very few times do I need to launch netscape anymore. One big ugly problem is that with latest kernels the shockwave plugin keeps dying horrible deaths. everytime there is a page transition I get a core dump. I like konqueror. I get occasional freezes now. Can't really explain them. But I am hoping they are much less in version 2.2 I am building that now so I can let you know. Oh one of the coolest features of konqueror is selective java script. I only turn javascript on for places I trust and deny everwhere else. Also have the option of disableing window.open only so no popup windows through javascript. It is very cool and obvious no corporate entity has left these features out so there portal can blast people with adds.
