I ordered Mandrake 8.0 and RedHat 7.1 from CheapBytes last week and got
them today. I had a computer that was running RedHat 6 quite nicely but
decided to install Mandrake on it (rue, rue, rue). Well, it was
incredibly easy to install and everything went smoothly until it
finished and rebooted. When it was loading linux it gave me an error
(Out of Memory) and halted. I rebooted and it stopped in the same place,
but gave me a different error. I tried using the boot disk, same thing,
yet another error. Finally, I figure this isn't going to work and I bust
out the RedHat cd. I boot from that, but when I hit enter and it starts
loading, same thing again. I can't even boot from any Linux-type boot
disks, and I seem to get different errors every time. I don't know what
to think about this...

And I was really looking forward to running Mandrake, it detected all of
my hardware right and everything!
