Ok new day, new problem. How to get IPTables installed. I downloaded the
latest IPTables src.rpm and tried to RPM it. No luck. Apparently with the
change from 6.2 to 7.1 Redhat changed their RPM version and the older
version won't handle the newer rpms. Likewise I can't use it for the newer
version of RPM because the bloody thing is in the newer RPM format.

I'm not adverse to downloading a tar file and building from that, but I'm
going to need some info on where to put the bloody thing once it's built.

Has anyone on the list compiled IPTables from scratch before?

I'm going to go hunting a IPTables tar file while I wait for a reply.

Thanks for the help!

Bill
