[olug] root password

if you're using lilo to boot type "linux single" and you'll be logged in as
root in single user mode and you can change your password from there.

I  just upgraded to mandrake 7.2 but it will not accept the
root password I set for it.Is there a way I can change  my root password
or would I have to reinstall again?
