Yes, you are supposed to be able to boot the ISO files from a network
file system (without having to have created a CD) by creating an
appropriate boot floopy (as outlined in the installation
documentation).  But, as it seemed involved, I've never done this
myself.  I have booted from a network mounted CD, not using 7.2, and
this has worked also.

Creating the CD, and booting from it, is the simplest installation.
