I live in Gretna and don't have access to xDSL or Cabel modem yet. Qwest can't tell me when it will be available and our cable Company (Galaxy Cablevision) is moving slower than a snail. They have been telling me I will have it in 3 months for the last 12 months. Now they say sometime next summer. Luckily Cox is moving into Gretna in 2001.

Anyway, a friend pointed me to http://ora2.net. The page is pretty empty so I called them. They offer wireless access to Omaha and all surrounding towns (Gretna, Ashland, Wahoo, etc.) at 256K with T-1 burst. Its $39/mo with a $340 install fee which includes the equipment and an engineer onsite to install the antenna and help configure the card in your computer. They even said they support Linux, as that is what the engineers are running at home. They also give you a single static IP.

Anybody done business with them? I'm probably gonna go with it next month, so I'll post a review.
