[olug] copy & paste

I'm composing an e-mail but I have to paste text into it from a file
however neither clicking both my mouse buttons at once like usual or
xcutsel or xclipboard will work. Copying & pasting from one file to
another will  work though.I've ran mouseconfig half a dozen times too
with no luck.I've also looked in netscape's preferences (I'm composing
the message in messenger) but do not see anything about pasting.Any
suggestions?
