Great suggestions, Mike.  I've neglected news groups when trying to
solve problems and will certainly have to add dejanews to my repertoire.

Using find is also a good idea.  I also find it useful to browse
/usr/doc using a web browser, i.e. by loading the URL file:/usr/doc.  If
your web browser is properly configured, you should be able to read most
of the documentation on your system.
