[olug] ipchains/windows

Not knowing ,  I am trying to get a friend to investigate linux a little
more .....
I am talking to him about ipchains.
He thinks that the option to deny a host in window telnet is the same as
ipchans in linux..... what can i tell him .. / is he right?
I'm finding this to be very fascinating and much more user friendly than
anything i ever used in window now to mention the fact that any  is
searchable as to the how to's and such...
In fact i think that in windows they hide some of the systems so you
will have to pay for help?
