[OLUG] First sparc

Well, I was looking for something a little more used than that. Somthing in
the sub $1500 range. I know I'm not going to get a nice system. I just want
somthing small to play around with, but powerful enough that I can really
enjoy playing with it.

Define "break the bank". Sun has the Ultra 5 and 10 which are decent
machines that would out perform a P2 300 hands down. I recently got a
quote for both :

Ultra 5S Server Ultra 10S Server

360 Mhz CPU, 256 KB E Cache 440 Mhz CPU, 2Mb Ecache
256 MB Ram 256 MB RAM
8.4 gb disk 9.1 gb disk
PGX-24 Onboard Graphics PGX-24 Onboard Graphics
Internal CD ROM and 1.44 floppy Internal CD ROM and 1.44 floppy
Solaris 7 Preinstalled Solaris 7 Preinstalled
Dual Internal PCI Ultra SCSI Card	Dual Internal PCI Ultra SCSI card
Solaris 8 Media Solaris 8 media
Country Kit Country Kit
Silver Maintenance Silver Maintenance
Purchase Price	$3,409 Purchase Price $5,499

The maintenance covers all parts and labor plus phone support.
Let me know if you are interested.

If you receive something that says "Send this to everyone you

Oh, wait...he already does!
