[olug] Spawning processes

okay, well, httpd will spawn a certain number of "child" servers to be
ready to handle requests based on a configuration file entry. i think
apache uses "StartServers" or something. check the files.

smb works in a similar way. i believe it may spawn a separate process to
handle each peer connecting to it.
