looked ok

listed many files
/usr/bin/ had 5 files:/usr/bin/b2m /usr/bin/emacsclient (I tried
enteriing this and it asked if the server was running) /usr/bin/etags
/usr/bin/gctags /usr/bin/rcs-checkin

/usr/lib/emacs is a directory and has another dir /usr/lib/emacs/20.3

/usr/man/man1/emacs.1 (I was unsucessful at routing this to man)

/usr/share/emacs/20.3 had many files with all caps names, some with
'tutorial' in the name, and other files that looked from names to be
emacs/lisp routines

there were many other directories and files. Its there, but either it
is not set up, or some GUI/menu item (that I can't find) knows how to
use all these files where they are. I thought someone might remember
how they got it going.

this found the 2 directories /usr/lib/emacs and /usr/share/emacs
mentioned above. xemacs and Xemacs found nothing.

This yielded emacs-20.3-15 and emacs-nox-20.3-15 (nox is a non x
version)
