Thanks to all those who could make it to tonight's meeting. We didn't have that great of a turnout due to scheduling reasons but we still managed to cover some important points.

First off, we are still in the process of looking for a location. We'll be using our inside contacts with the telcos to find the best, most connected buildings to consider. If you know of a good, secure building with good connectivity (Fiber), please, let us know! Additionally on the location topic, we decided that security is in everyone's best interests so storefronts or other easily-robbable places are out of the question. We want only buildings which are appropriate for a datacenter setting.

Second, we will seek advice and resources from the Kansas City Internet Exchange, which is a major public peering place in downtown KC. It's a small but stable operation and I feel we could benefit from their advice.

Third, we briefly discussed our legal situation but couldn't get very far on that as we have yet to talk to AIM's general counsel. How's that coming, Brian?

Last but not least was the option of talking to Qwest and some other ISPs who have a lot of unused resources that aren't bringing in any money. They must be itching to sell something and get more income, so we'll pull some strings and try to work out some kind of deal that benefits both parties.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
